Easter Prayer Vigil

Since 2006, First Presbyterian Church of Auburn has hosted an Easter Prayer Vigil to create a time for prayer and meditation between Good Friday's evening service and Easter morning's sunrise. During the Vigil, at least one person is in the chapel at all times. While we give ourselves to the power of stillness, we remember the sacrifice Christ gave to all humankind, and we pray the prayers of our hearts. Members and friends of First Presbyterian Church share prayer requests on special cards. Vigil participants read these prayer requests and pray along. We carry, in prayer, our hopes and sorrows and the hopes and sorrows of others. We provide additional resources to assist Vigil participants in their time of prayer. Join us every Easter either virtually or in person.
